How to Set Up the Canon PIXMA TS3750i Printer: A Complete Beginner’s Guide
Setting up a new printer can seem complicated, especially if you have never used one before. Fortunately, the Canon PIXMA TS3750i is designed to make the process fairly straightforward.
In this guide, we’ll walk through the complete setup process, including installing the ink, loading paper, connecting your phone or computer and scanning documents.
What You’ll Need
Before starting, make sure you have:
- Your Canon PIXMA TS3750i printer
- The supplied power cable
- The two included FINE ink cartridges
- A supply of suitable printer paper
- A Wi-Fi network if you want to print wirelessly
- Your smartphone, tablet or computer
Step 1: Unpack and Switch On the Printer
Take the printer out of the box and remove all protective packaging and orange tape.
Place the printer on a stable, level surface with enough space around it for the paper tray and scanner lid to open.
Connect the power cable to the printer and plug it into a suitable power socket.
Press the Power button to switch the printer on.
Step 2: Install the Ink Cartridges
The printer comes with two FINE cartridges: one black and one colour.
To install them:
- Turn the printer on.
- Open the printer’s ink/cartridge access area.
- Wait for the cartridge holder to move into the installation position.
- Remove the protective packaging from the new cartridges.
- Take care not to touch the electrical contacts or ink nozzles.
- Insert the black cartridge into the black cartridge position.
- Insert the colour cartridge into the colour cartridge position.
- Push each cartridge firmly into place until it clicks.
- Close the cartridge access area.
Make sure the cartridges are installed in their correct positions. If a cartridge isn’t seated correctly, the printer may display an error or fail to print properly.
Tip: Don’t remove a new cartridge from its protective packaging until you’re ready to install it, and avoid touching the copper-coloured contacts or print nozzle.
Step 3: Load the Paper
The TS3750i has a rear paper tray, which makes loading ordinary A4 paper simple.
Follow these steps:
- Open the rear paper support.
- Adjust the paper guides so they are slightly wider than your paper.
- Take a stack of paper and straighten the edges.
- Place the paper into the rear tray.
- Position the paper according to the markings and instructions on the tray.
- Slide the paper guides in so they gently touch the edges of the paper.
- Don’t push the guides too tightly against the paper.
- Confirm the paper size and type settings when prompted.
Tip: Don’t overload the tray. Keeping the paper neat and properly aligned helps prevent paper jams and crooked prints.
Step 4: Connect the Canon PIXMA TS3750i to Your Phone
One of the easiest ways to use the TS3750i is with the Canon PRINT app.
On your phone:
- Download and install the Canon PRINT app.
- Open the app.

- Select the PIXMA TS3750i when it appears.
